Everything we supply is hand-selected by us to ensure it is the best quality, available in volume and at a price that our customers will love.
We never offer discontinued ranges of carpets and flooring or artificially inflate prices so we can offer sensational discounts. Something we do offer is our monthly managers special and when you meet us ask us if we have any ‘end of roll’ specials.

Our History
Tim’s Stepfather, Peter Caffyn-Parsons started World Wide Carpets in the mid 60’s working from a building on Grange Road in Ash. He then purpose built World Wide Carpets on North Lane in 1971 as he saw an opening in the market of selling carpets from a warehouse. Up until this point carpets were sold in fancy carpet shops and were very expensive. Peter stacked them high and sold them cheap. The idea took off and World Wide Carpets was for a long time the only flooring warehouse in the area. In the 80’s World Wide had three shops. Aldershot, Guildford and Farnham. The opening of the Farnham shop was a grand affair with a stagecoach drawn by four white horses traveling through the centre of town announcing the opening of the shop.

Our Team
Eddie Shanks
Eddie has been the engine room for Worldwide carpets since 1988 – his knowledge of the industry is second to none – a family man with 2 children he has been part of the Aldershot community all his life. He is an avid sports fan and loves his football and darts. Eddie has a great relationship with all the leading manufacturers and can find you any flooring you require and is always on the ball for where the great offers are.
Tim Reed
Tim served in the British Army as a young man for 6 years and lived in Germany after leaving the forces. He returned to the UK in 2009 and took over the management of World Wide Carpets keeping the family tradition of great service from local people to local people alive. Living in Farnham close by to his family Tim is at his happiest walking his dog in the Surrey countryside. Tim has great knowledge passed down over the years of what works for people on their floors in their homes , a good eye for design and a bargain.
Fitters
All our fitters have worked for World Wide Carpets for many years and all are at least NVQ level 2 trained floor installers and are Amtico trained. The fitters are flexible and take pride in their work. We have in the past installed flooring in all the military barracks in Aldershot Garrison, train stations from Yeovil in Somerset to London Waterloo. At one stage we even travelled to central France to install carpet the correct way for an English couple in their holiday home.
More recently we have fitted carpet in a castle in Goring and plush offices in Berkeley Square in Mayfair. We have also fitted flooring throughout a large 8 bedroom house on the Wentworth Estate. The jobs we are happiest doing is for our domestic and commercial customers in the local area.
